Introducing Sovereignty & Seduction

“Seduction restores female Sovereignty.”
— Jean Baudrillard

On April 13-15 we are introducing a new 3-day weekend workshop in London – Sovereignty & Seduction. Built on the successful ‘Your Sexual Woman’ workshop, where we explore our sexual power, relationship to our body and intimacy, we are now taking this work to the next level and introducing the concept of the Seductress.

The Seductress is one of the most potent female personas in existence.
Though long misunderstood and ignored, she is the paradigmatic liberated woman,
empowered with men and empowered in life.

Seductresses were the first feminists, with men and the world at their feet.
Nothing and no one could resist their charm offensive.

This strength of the feminine is that of seduction.

Betsy Prioleau, ‘The Seductress’

At Electric Woman we firmly believe our sexual power gives us direct access to our life force and as we turn it on, we come to life – it’s playful, it’s sexy, it’s deeply empowering. Embracing the Seductress within is a transformative way to connect to your sexual power, yet this is a side of us that often gets ignored.

The idea of the Seductress has been historically tainted as manipulative, associated with ‘black magic’, dangerous to men and intimidating to other women. In the Victorian ages, women were categorized as either a 'whore' or a 'good wife'; you couldn’t be both. Seductresses are often seen as escorts and whores and this idea is still very present today. However, this is only what we’ve been led to believe and will only remain this way if we continue to disempower the true Seductress.

I still see today that my conditioned good girl persona and denying my sexual sovereignty has stopped me from expressing my sexual side in a way that’s empowering. Our sexual history and old beliefs around sex and relationships will impact our present selves unless we address them and choose more liberating beliefs about who we are as a women – sexual and free women.

With the #metoo movement, there is an increasing collective desire to empower women in their sexual freedom, expression and boundaries; to communicate clearly about what they want and don’t want. It is our passion at Electric Woman to support women to access the strength of the feminine to do this.
